Mediation Equipment with Serial Ports, Remote Controls and Digital Alarms + Copper Ethernet Switch
Within the family of Mediation Equipments, EM-SC models include a copper Ethernet Switch. They are designed to cover the needs of rooms with digital alarms, console ports and Remote Control actions and, unlike EMB and EMS models, they can also monitor communication items with an Ethernet console port.
This family is designed to be assembled on a 19’’ chassis. All models have:
- 1 Ethernet port for access.
- 7 Ethernet 10/100BaseT ports to connect with other devices.
- 8 serial ports.
- 4 Remote Control outputs.
- 8 digital alarm inputs.
- As an option, they can be equipped with RTC or GSM/GPRS modems.
EM Management
Mediation Elements allow informing about infrastructure alarms that go off in rooms. These alarms can be sent through TRAPS to a SNMP manager or to an alarm management application created by Dycec and called SSA.
On the other hand, EM can be managed by a standard SNMP manager allowing GETS and SETS operations both over Mediation Elements and connected peripherals. Dycec also has a management application called ARGOS which allows administering all EMs organizing them in families, trees, etc, as well as performing monitoring actions on equipments to know their availability and many other functions.
