Mediation Equipments for Remote Management of Infrastructures, Alarms, Console Ports and Remote controls

Description

ME family is designed to control and remote management of elements located in rooms with communications infrastructure such as mobile and landline operators, rail infrastructure operators, electric substations, etc.

These equipments allow connections with local peripherals such as power equipments, air conditioners, sensors, Access systems, console doors, etc., so that they can be read or controlled remotely. Mediation Elements have standard communication ports such as RS232, RS485 or Ethernet that allow both connections with protocols belonging to the peripheral and standard protocols such as Modbus.

Apart from communication ports, EM has digital alarm inputs, analogical alarm inputs and Remote Control action outputs. Furthermore, it has different Access ports both by IP and RTC or GSM/GPRS, that can be used in backup configurations.

The design of these equipments is based on a modular architecture so that there are different models with different types of connection ports, alarms, etc.

Management

Mediation Elements allow informing about infrastructure alarms initiated in rooms. These alarms can be sent through TRAPS to a SNMP manager or to an alarm management application created by Dycec called SSA.

On the other hand, EM can be managed by a standard SNMP manager allowing GETS and SETS operations both over Mediation Elements and connected peripherals. Dycec also has a management application called ARGOS which allows administering all EMs organizing them in families, trees, etc., as well as performing monitoring actions on equipments to know their availability and many other functions.
